Beautiful day to be thankful

If you are reading this today and in your right frame of mind it is a lot to be thankful for. It had been a minute since I last shared updates. Sometime you have to take a break to find yourself again and start a fresh. The days here are extremely long and sunrise comes up about 4:30 am each morning as that is the time I am up thinking it is about 7am. The sunset also goes down around 10pm so not much darkness at all, the trick here for me is to use extremely dark curtains to try block out some of the light. Nevertheless it is always good to make adjustments and work along with the flow or what your situation brings. Today we went for a walk/ride to the supermarket to get some fresh pastries but only realised it was closed due to been a public holiday yes on a Sunday (Constitution Day- commemorates the anniversary of the signing of the Danish Constitution of 1849,which established Denmark as a constitutional monarchy, and honours the constitution of 1953 which was adopted on the same date). It is also Father's day here so a happy day to all dads and continue being good role model. I always admire the role dad play here you always see them outside playing or bonding with their child/children and spending quality time. I wish for you all a blessed and productive week.

Copenhagen Zoo

Well it has been one week of lovely weather here in Copenhagen and it makes everything so much better and people are extra friendly. Today we went to the Copenhagen Zoo and it was a nice family day out. Remario is fascinated with a lot of the animals and he enjoyed seeing them and was in his element for most of the time. Hope you enjoy a few of the pics from our family day out.

Sun Shiny Day

"The blue sky is infinitely high, crystal clear...that's what the world should be...a world of infinite possibilities, laid before us, crystal clear" - Kenshin

This week the weather has been absolutely fantastic and I could not be happier. The layers and winter wear can be put away until a long time I hope. Seeing temperatures of 20-22 degrees daily is absolutely amazing and breathtaking. Oh how the sky is blue and looks like the ocean. It has been a long weekend here from Wednesday evening so each day I try to go out and find small stuff to do with Rems. Treasure each day and remember to stay hydrated and enjoy the sun while it shines.

Sunday Stroll

"Once we accept our limits,we move beyond them"-Albert Einstein

Hey guys its been a while since we last catch up. Anyway today the weather is lovely and you can see the bright colours starting to make their appearance. After all the rain and still being very cold it is nice to have a day of lovely sunshine. Remario and I went for a little stroll and it gives us something to do while we are on our own and also since he has been up ages the fresh air is good, than been cloaked up in the apartment. Now he is fast asleep while I try to do this post and get dinner started before he is up again being a energetic toddler.  I was doing some self reflection with each set I took and it made me realise that self acceptance and appreciation goes a long way. Often times we say life is too short and that we should live in the now things like that, but how many of us really do not sweat the small stuff. Time upon time we find ourselves comparing life to others, where we are in life, career goals and objectives the list goes on. Nobody is perfect and we may fall by the way side in trying to get to our goals-whether we run, walk or crawl to the finish line we just have to look at our mistakes and weakness as we grow stronger each day. Little progress is better than no progress so in time it will all come together. Be comfortable in your own skin, your own life and even though at times we are drained mentally, physically, spiritually, professionally, financially always know that you are stronger and smarter than you give yourself credit for. Realising our strengths and weaknesses is important and whether or not we get judged by others be happy in the things that you can do and the decisions you make. Live a life of happiness and stop for a minute to smell the roses and be grateful for what you have and who you have around you. LIVE<LOVE<LAUGH!!!

Haircut Day

Previous trips to the barber with this little busy body boy has been a roller coaster ride with different outcomes. He would cry and scream and we had to hold him down just to get a decent haircut. When his dad attempted in the past to do it we had to find a barber to fix as patches were seen and he looked quite "strange". His dad kept on trying and even though these days it is still not a smooth ride they both have come a long way. With his snicker bar and his favourite cartoon (Curious George) ready to get a haircut. Remario behaved and sat still and was quite impressed with the end result. The next time I believe the barber will kick me out as I kept saying you ruined it. I had to apologise after I saw the finished results. Hair is truly one's beauty and different styles make you look different as well.

Sweden day trip(pics)

This trip was the fastest I have ever experienced been in and out of a country. It took approximately a 45 minutes drive from our location in Denmark to get into Malmö,Sweden. Acting like a tourist for a couple of hours felt so good and can say another country has been added to my list.  It was refreshing to just get out of the regular schedule and do something different.

Amalienborg Palace

Talk about getting lost but only to find yourself at the home of the Danish Royal family. I took a trip downtown Copenhagen recently and got lost on my way. I am not good with directions at all and  ended up being lost but was amazed at the beautiful designs that surrounded me. I was just in time to see the change of guards and was something pleasant to see. A few tourist were out in the drizzling rain recording and taking pictures of the guards doing their thing. I thought rain, sun, snow it was their job and they beamed with so much pride while doing it. Sometimes we have to take a minute out of our busy lives and schedule to appreciate what is around us. So as you take on a new week some for a minute to smell the roses as life is way too short to not be appreciative and thankful for who and what we have.
